Today the maple tree is all three greens it can be. Deep dull, blue grey green within and counter to the westward sun. Bright lime green on the edge-most leaves that know more of the wind than the rest. Lime, bright specular green, glowing at the edges of it all. The whole of it mounted on that stark black trunk, rich from sap, and draped in shade.
